With a real HP48G, I know you can download arcade games (pacman)
and download it into the calculator using a serial cable.

However, I am using an emulator for HP48G, its called EMU48.EXE,
works great, and I can use it for math and stuffs. But I am
very interested in downloading some games found on the web into
this emulator , just to see how it is. Maybe, I can download
rom from those cards, electrical engineering etc. etc.

Could someone please show me info on how I can download games/card rom
into the emulator? Or perhaps just give me step by step if its
easy. Thankx.

Drag the file and drop it on the emulator and then its on the stack. Follow
your calculator instructions from there.

Hint : to press ON-C, press and hold the "ON" key while dragging the mouse off.
"ON" should stay illuminated. Then click the "C".

Hope this helps

1) How to download programs to Emu48 RTFM. But perhaps somebody else will
explain it here for the third or fourth time in the last half year.
2) I don't know if there's a program available to make complete backups of
ROM cards, I think there aren't. I'm personally working on an all purpose
card upload program (HP48SX/HP48GX), but I don't know when I'll publish
v1.0. But therefore you'll definitely need an eXpandable (SX/GX) calculator
where you can put these cards inside.

Edit -> Load object. The choose the file and it'll be in the first level
of the stack

I just downloaded a game called "HP Chess v1.0" and unzipped it. I got the
following files:
hpchess.doc, hpchess.inf and hpchess.lib. So according your instruction, I
launched the
emulator by clicking on emu48.exe from my windows explorer. It now launches the
HP48
emulator. You are tell me to drag and drop from my windows explorer the file
hpchess.lib right onto the emulator that is already running.

I see the stack shows:
1: Library 1720: HpC...

That seems right so far. I am not sure what to do next. I don't have the manual
for this
calculator. So how do you run this thing on the stack?

Next step is:
1 STO
to store the library in port one. Then perform a WarmStart (ON+C) and look
for the library in the library menu (RShift+2).

Bye!
