hello,

i would like to install metakernel 2.30 on my hp48 gx, i need a 128Kb
memory card for the installation.
but i would like to know if the memory card will be always needed to
use this new "os" or is it installed directly in the hp48 so that the
card is no more needed to the metakernel???

thx

The Metakernel will be installed on the card. It uses all 128kb of memory
on the card so removing the card means bye bye Metakernel.

By all means!!! Ask anyone: they'll tell you the same. Do it! It's like
having a new, faster and more feature-packed calculator.

BTW, if you need a 128Mb card try Klotz http://uuhome.de/oklotz/ Most
people here have had good results, and they are cheap (and in stock, which
may be even more important). I myself had some troble with the card I
ordered but after two backup battery replacements it seems to be behaving
fine.
