the format used by the HP49 is slightly different than the one used by the
HP48 as it supports greyscale.
so I guess Detlef's program won't work correctly..
You should better use the HP new connectivity kit which is freely available
from the HP web site.

and where is the Grob-editor for creating them?
It think MetaKernel has such an editor.
