Ok, that's easy enough. Just store your equation in EQ and graph.
However the beauty of the HP is the flexibility with which it allows
us to do this. So, for example, for a newbie I would suggest -

[RS] plot, enter '3*sin(x)' in the equation field,
and then hit erase, draw.

However, for more advanced users or those that are just tired of
waiting for screen redraws in the input forms, I would suggest -

'3*sin(x)' STEQ ENTER, [LS] plot, erase, drax, draw

Or alternatively -

[LS] plot, '3*sin(x)' [LS] EQ, erase, drax, draw

Also, to plot multiple equations, one must store them in a list and
then plot the list. So for example to plot the equations:
'sin(x)' '2sin(x)' and '3sin(x)' -

[LS] plot, {'sin(x)' '2*sin(x)' '3*sin(x)'}
[LS] EQ, erase, drax, draw

One more thing. You can speed up the graphing speed by decreasing
the graphing resolution. The default is zero, which results in the
most detailed graph at the expense of graphing time.
Try experimenting with resolutions of one or two.

[LS] plot, ppar, 1 res
Then, to continue with graphing
[NXT] [NXT], plot, erase, drax, draw

One last thing. I don't mean to pick on you or anybody else (and
while I realize that the guys at HP don't write the most
scintillating material) but the only way to become familiar with a
new tool like the HP is to sit down a few times with the calculator
and the manual and play around for a while. Well...

**************************** SIDE NOTES ***************************
If your plotting trig functions, for goodness sakes, make sure your
in RADIANS mode!
[LS] = left shift (i.e. the purple arrow key)
[RS] = right shift (i.e. the green arrow key)
