user edit and winhp for linux....

hello!

i'm just starting with linux and i was wondering for a program where i
could edit my user programs in the pc (with symbols and so..) and
after transfer it to the pc. as useredit does in windows....
and a program like winhp to linux would also be great!
do you know any?

i've installed that program, but i only can transfer files to hp.
i used to do it with hptalx, which is better?
but what i'm looking for is a program where i can edit my user-rpl
programs i can view them in any editor but i can't use symbols :( , or
i don't know how to use them!
