I've never seen a C compiler for these old HP48GX or HP49G.
Why that ?

It exists! Really I remember when alex ramos creates it. These days I
prefered his RPL compiler over HP ones and I was very excited about the
C compiler but I must admit I've never given a try.

take a look on hpcalc

http://www.hpcalc.org/search.php?query=C+compiler+alex&hp48=1

Hope this helps

Just wanted to add my small comment.

Why would you want a C compiler for such a beautifull (non C)
architecture of the HP calcs: a blend between a LISP machine and a
stack machine.

Sure, RPL is by far less powerful for recursive procedures than a real
LISP but you can still write some beautifully elegant code on it.

I understand that if you want to write dirty, fast and functional code
you can use C. But just for the sake of programming beauty, pick some
day and spend it thinking and hacking your HP recursively, in RP LISP.

Good luck,
Dimitri
