42S manual and self test

of the owner's manual for the 42S? I will not order the HP Museum CD.
I just need this manual temporarily as I will be getting a real one,
but I needed to check on the self test quickly. Alternativly, can
somene post the Self Test procedure to the 42S here? I need to send it
to a friend that is going to teste a 2nd hand calc for me in the US.

1) turn calculator on
2) if you have the infrared printer turn it on as diagnostic info is
printed during test.
3) to start test Hold down EXIT key while LN key.* Don't press any key
till you are ready to halt the test.
4) During the test, the calculator beeps periodically and displays
various patterns and characters. Watch for one of two messages that are
displayed before the test automatically repeats:
If the calculator passes the self-test, the the calculator displays
OK-42S-E
If the calculator displays FAIL followed by a number, the calculator
may require service
5) To halt the self-test, hold down EXIT key while you press the square
root key. The calculator displays "Machine Reset". If you press any
other key instead, the test halts and the calculator displays a FAIL
message. This message results from and incorrect key being pressed and
does not mean that the calculator requires service.
6) If it rails repeat test to be sure.
*Pressing the LOG key starts another self-test that is used at the
factory. If you accidently start this self-test, you can stop it by
holding down the the EXIT key and the square root key.

CONFIRMANDO O BOM FUNCIONAMENTO DA CALCULADORA: O AUTO-TESTE
Se o visor puder ser ligado, mas parecer que a calculadora não funciona
adequadamente, você pode executar um auto-teste diagnóstico. Ele se repete até
que você o interrompa.
Para iniciar o auto-teste:
1. ligue a calculadora.
2. se você possui a impressora opcional infravermelho ligue-a. Certas
informações do diagnóstico são impressas durante o teste.
3. para iniciar o auto-teste, mantenha pressionada a tecla EXIT enquanto você
pressiona a tecla LN.* Uma vez que o auto-teste tenha sido inicializado não
pressione quaisquer teclas até que você esteja pronto para interrompê-lo.
4. durante o teste a calculadora emite um sinal audível e apresenta no visor
diversos padrões e caracteres. Procure por uma de duas mensagens que são
apresentadas antes que o teste se repita automaticamente.
- se a calculadora passar no teste, ela apresenta no visor
OK-42S-E.
- se a calculadora apresentar no visor FAIL (Falha) seguida por um número, a
calculadora pode necessitar de reparos.
5. para interromper o auto-teste mantenha pressionada EXIT enquanto você
pressiona a tecla \|x (raiz quadrada). A calculadora apresenta no visor Machine
Reset (Máquina Inicializada). Se você pressionar qualquer outra tecla, o teste
é interrompido e a calculadora apresenta uma mensagem FAIL (Falha). Esta
mensagem resulta de uma tecla incorreta ter sido pressionada e não significa
que a calculadora requer reparos.
6. se a calculadora não passou no auto-teste, repita os passos 3 a 5 para
verificar os resultados. Se você não possui uma impressora, escreva as
mensagens que são apresentadas no visor no passo 5.
* Pressionar a tecla LOG inicia outro auto-teste que é utilizado na fábrica. Se
você acidentalmente iniciar este auto-teste, pode interrompê-lo mantendo
pressionada a tecla EXIT enquanto pressiona \|x (raíz quadrada).
