Doing a fresh install for a friend he does not have the drivers.

I'm installing Win98 on it, some devices were detected but I need
drivers for Modem, Audio, Network Card & Video and input device (?not sure
what this is).

(I already found modem/video but not tested yet, would still like original
drivers)

I tried searching google and on HP website, not much info out there.
Any help is appreciated. This is model 6640C again, pavillion.

Thanks,

It has a SiS530 chipset (possibly the SiS5595 driver), and the ever so lovely Rockwell Chameleon
Audio/Modem riser card. Look here:
http://www.modem-drivers.com/
choose 'Rockwell' from the list and scroll down, there is a driver there for the Chameleon.
I might suggest that purchasing an aftermarket sound and modem might be a better choice...luck...

According to the HP web site, the 6640c uses a SiS 530 chipset. Because HP
provides such miserable, pitiful tech support, you have no choice except to
obtain the drivers elsewhere. For the motherboard and video drivers, try the
SiS web site, where you should be able to find reference drivers that will work
quite well with your system. The modem/sound card uses a Rockwell Chameleon
chip, and I don't have a direct suggestion. But possibly drivers.com can help.
Rockwell's chip business has gone thru at least one acquisition in the last
couple of years, and I can't keep straight who the current owners of the product
are right now. Too many mergers, acquisitions and bankruptcies in the computer
and electronics industries... Ben Myers
