Hy,
it's possible to run a Xerox DC230 as networkprinter on hp-ux box?
If so, how? Any infos and/or documenations are welcome.

Following the links for DC230ST, takes us to documentation for DC420 series.
Look at page 5-11 of this manual. Basically, set it up as a remote printer.
Ensure you flag it as a "BSD" printer.
I suppose you could also connect the printer to an external JetDirect.

We use the remote printer mapping for Document Centres, however
found it a pain to get fine control of the printer, I assume
where applications allow generic Postscript this should allow
things like tray selection.

Xerox did do some additional drivers for HP-UX, but they seem to
have vanished, and did things very different to normal HP-UX
printing. I do have an Interface script written by a guy at
Xerox somewhere if it'll help, but I don't think it is required.
