Does it even have to be a HP video card? From my understanding, ATI
supports some HP-UX systems but I am unsure if HP did something
internally to them. Thus forcing HPUX users to purchased video card
only from HP.
Please provide part and model numbers for any good video cards that come
to mind.
Thank You

The HP supplied graphics drivers in 11iv3 will I suspect only claim
those cards showing-up in quickspecs for the rx2600 et al.
Third-party graphics cards, unless the third-party provides drivers,
are unlikely to work in addition to being "unsupported" from HP's
perspective.
Supported, known to work -> warm fuzzies all around
Supported, not known to not work -> an HPite may be in trouble
Supported, known to not work -> an HPite is in trouble
Unsupported, known to work -> lucky today, unlucky tomorrow?
Unsupported, not known to not work -> there but for the grace of Turing
Unsupported, known to not work -> no, it was not deliberate ;-)
The rx2600 quickspecs:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11716_div/11716_div.html
(web search on "rx2600 quickspecs site:hp.com")
list an AB551A PCI 2D/3D Graphics card. A similar web search for
"AB551A site:hp.com" should find the specs for the card. I do not
know if that card is still on the HP CPL or not.

these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... :)
feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH...
None, as there are no PCI-X video cards except an antique model from Matrox.

There is none which is available as PCI version and which works with the
rx2600.

No, it doesn't have to be a HP card. All ATI gfx cards for Itanium and
the c8000 PA-RISC workstations were generic ATI cards.
However, they all require AGP at least, and even then the cards are 5+
years old.
