RecordNow software doesn't work

I got a replacement HP DVD 200i drive for my Pavilion 780n. The software
that's supposed to create CDs and DVDs for this drive is HP's RecordNow. I
have version 3.55 of the software. However, whenever I try to add
additional files to a CD that already has files on it, the program crashes.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to get around this? I
have CD Creator but can't get it to run in Windows XP. Any thoughts?
