HP PROLIANT DL585 R1

Hi,

I have an opportunity to buy a HP PROLIANT DL585 R1, so I wonder if
please someone have an expericence with this kind of hardware. It's
for Debian 5.0 & postgresql (+perl). Probably KDE too.

Can please someone help me ?

You mean HP ProLiant DL585 G1

Yes, I have some experience with that hardware.

OK, could you then please tell me if the installation of Debian 5.0,
postgresql, KDE, needs something special ?

I don't know as I never used Linux on these machines. But I can't see
that there should be any problems as HP supports Linux (Redhat?) on
these servers and there should be Linux drivers available for all the
hardware. KDE however won't be much fun on the slow integrated graphics
hardware.
