I've a problem with my HP Laserjet 6L. It always feeds multiple papers at
once instead of one.
I've read about a fix tool by HP for free. But I cannot find it on the HP
Website.
Does anyone have the corrrect link for me?
Thanks

You could get just the Separation Pad/Sub Pad kit and the pick Up roller.
Below is a quick procedure I put together for replacing teh Sep Pad in 5L/6L. Use
it at your own risk!!!! Have fun.

How to replace the Sep Pad & Pick Up Roller in LJ 5L/6L
Separation Pad P/N: RY7-5077
Pick Up Roller P/N: RG5-1951
USE A CUP or something like that to put all the screws and small parts in!!!!!!
You will need a Philip screw driver, a long small flathead screw driver and a good
small needle nose plier. With that said. Here it goes:
1). Open the printer cover and remove the Toner cartridge. Remove the two silver
screws at the top of the printer (One on each side).
2). Remove the three screws holding the Back cover piece. Pull the back Paper
Guide in the Up position. Use a small flat head screw driver to loose to two
latches through the opening. After that, you will need to use the same screw
driver to loose the latches holding the back cover in place. There are at least
two at each side.
3). Remove the back cover after you have released all the latches.
4). Turn the printer over and remove the memory slot cover by press on the latch.
5). Open the front cover. There are two latches (one at each corner) at the front
bottom. You need to gently release them. After that, you should be able to slide
the cover upward and off.
6). At the right side toward the top, you will see a spring clip pushing a white
latch in place. Use the needle nose to remove it.
7). Use the needle nose to slightly pull the white color latch and turn it counter
clock wise to release it. Please note how it is put in place. Pull it out after
you have unlatched it.
8). Move to the left side. Press on the two latches to remove the Clutch gear
assembly and slide it out. Please note this assembly has two unequal slots.
9). Now you have freed up the Pick Up roller assembly, you need to slide this
assembly out from the right side first. Fiddle with it a bit to get it out.
10). Pull the paper guide up upward to remove it.
11). Push on the Kick plate to release it and then swing it upward to slide it
out be careful not to loose the spring.
12). Unlatch the separation pad clip from the back and lift it up.
13). Unlatch the Separation Pad and get it up to remove it. Replace it with the
new one.
14). Use a small flathead screw driver to remove the two sub pads and replace them
with new one.
15). Do everything in reverse order.
