hello, i recently bought an HP-48G. Hp has other models of tis same
calculator available, the HP-48GX, and HP-48SX. What are the prime
differences in these models ???
I also have an HP-41 (which i love)
I'd like to hear from others who have either the 41 or 48 JOHN

OK, the 48s and 48sx were the first to appear. The major difference
between these models, is that the 48sx has card ports which may be used
for expansion. The 48g and 48gx are the new models, sporting a larger
screen and, I think, more memory (I have a 48sx). The gx has the card
ports, while the g does not.

Okay, this belongs in "comp.sys.hp48" so I've cross-posted it there,
and if you respond, take it out of comp.sys.handhelds...
But anyway, here's my response...

Well, here are the differences...
The S calculators (S/SX) have:
32K RAM, Soft-key menus, 2Mhz processor, add-on card for EQ-Lib
The G calculators (G/GX) have:
Pop-up menus, 4Mhz processor, built-in EQ-lib
The X calculators (SX/GX) have:
Expansion slots
The GX has:
128K RAM (G only has 32K)

Those are the differences...
