I'm looking for copies of C-Net v9.6 and prior. If you've got a copy, I'd
love to have it!
Thanks!

If I had them I would help out! Sorry!
However, your or maybe someone else could help me out?
I am looking for the Original CNet 12.0 disks. They can be copies,
but they need to only have the original data files (never written/
configured). It is for a project that I am working on. Any format
will work (D64,D81,D71,zip,sfx,etc...).
Good luck!

I wouldn't mind having that myself. :)
Somewhere around here I've got a photocopy of the C-Net 12.0 sysop
programming guide. I haven't seen it since before I moved though. :(
I have archived disks labeled as follows:
c-net 10.0
c-net 12.0
c-net bbs.lbr
c-net help
c-net bbs v12.0
c-net 128 v4.0
c-net bbs games
cnet 128 v5.0
cnet9/24/85
I'll try to take a look at these this evening to see exactly what's
what, and I'll post back here with more details later...

Ive posted CNet 10 and 12 to Rapidshare via:
http://rapidshare.com/files/54357539/CNet64.zip.html
I know 10 works fine (I at one point even modified it to work over
telnet), but 12 uses some ML timing tricks with the IO just like Image
BBS does, so you wont get too far with it under VICE.

Thanks Scott. I think I've got those already.
BTW, how is your C# CBM basic interpreter coming along?
Thats a good collection! I sure wish I would have not dumped all my
stuff when I went into the Air Force. I had C-net 64 v10.0, C-Net 128
v4.0 & 5.0, CNet/Pro Amiga 2.x & 3.05 along with all the manuals and
programming guides.
I still have my CNet/Pro Amiga 2.x and 3.05, plus my company aquired
the rights to the CNet/Pro Amiga software from Todd H. Knight.
I sure would not mind having some of those. What is the C-Net Help or
the CNet bbs.lbr?
Part of the project where I am looking for an Original/Unconfigued
CNet 12.0 Disks, caused me to write a C64 PRG Lister. I know there
are some out there. But non that worked well for me.
You can download it at http://www.cnetbbs.net/files/C64PRGLister.zip
Right now it just Lets you open and print the file. It will display
the correct font if you install the font that is bundled with it. Not
sure where I picked those fonts up but will give credit when I find
out who created the fonts.
Also, when printing the file it decodes the non-printable characters
into {code} so the printer does not freak out, plus translates the
upper and lower case characters properly.
Things on the To Do:
Add ability to print the C64 font to the printer.
Add an option to turn on and off the decode print option.
Add the ability to Open file from D64, D71 and D81 files.
Not sure if I would ever turn this into an editor, but I did code it
what that in mind. So if that becomes an option, I will not have to
rewrite anything. Who knows.
Dan
I have those already and the 12 version work too. Messed around with
it a few months back. I know what you mean about the problems with ML
and v12.
Dan
All of the C-Net disks I have are .d64's. I took a look at them, and the
one labeled cnet bbs.lbr is just a 5 block file, so I'm assuming it's
nothing. The help and 9/24/85 files are on the same disk, and they're both
sequential files. If you like, I could convert them to ASCII and e-mail
them to you. Or, I could just e-mail the .d64's to you. Let me know...

Gretings:
I have C-Net 12 and its cracked so it work without the dongle.
i tried setting it up via telnet but it waits for a carrier and only
detects rings, i couldnt get it to 100% answer a call. It doesnt
do ansi so Image 1.2a would be a better choice IMHO. But
c-net 12 is a classic, so if you;d like i could copy and snail mail
you a copy.
-Steve
Thanks!
You can just send the .D64 files, as I have all the tools to convert
and take a look at them. Feel free to email them or upload them to my
BBS (Future World II). You can telnet to it at fw2.cnetbbs.net
Dan
Yea, I probably have the same version (Last logged on user was
'REEKO'). I am hoping to find someome who has the original/unmodified
disk(s). As that one does not have all the files, plus has been
hacked at a bit and some things are broken with it.
Dan
I e-mailed the disks to you. Let me know if you got them, okay?
-Andrew
Mm, no copy of CNet for ya, but hi. It's been a while. :)

Ahh, yes! It's been years! How have you been?
The interpreter works really well, but its been put aside for awhile.
I need to just put it out there as open source. Been tied up with
other things recently, but the C128 is never too far away :)
Glad to hear it! Did you ever have any luck getting C-Net working on it?
Been all right. Doing landscaping jobs for a neighbor while waiting to
go back to college in the fall. Taking data recovery/computer
forensics courses.
Still tinkering with my translation of "The Land of Spur", haven't
heard from Skip lately :)

Sounds interesting. Should keep you out of trouble for a while anyway. :)

I was hoping he'd have Dura Europos back online by now. :) AppleWin is good
enough that he could easily attach it to any one of the telnet<->serial
gateways and put it on the 'net.
Any news Andrew?
g.
Hah! You got googled. :) I am still kicking around. I used to have a
p.o.s. dial-up connection, but recently got a DSL connection. So, I
suppose that is a step in the right direction. Reading messages from
you and Pinacolada inspired me to turn on the old Apple IIe that has
been sitting there for months. It now says Dura-Europos BBS is waiting
for call number 1 today. Of course, it is not connected to anything.
You say I could easily attach it to a telnet serial gateway? I am
afraid I am not a hardware guy. Also, my life has changed since the
"good old days" when I was single and my social life consisted of
programming for the board.
So, if there is a fairly easy way of connecting it (i.e. "take this
gizmo and plug it into slot 2, then plug the other end into your
network hub and run this program..") I would be interested in trying
it.

Skip, using TELBBS it's pretty easy to hook an 8 bit machine to the 'net.
It's my understanding that TELBBS runs on a host PC and acts like a Hayes
Smartmodem to the 8 bit computer connected to the PC via null modem.
I tried downloading it to give you an idea how to do it, but the link is
currently broken and their support forum has this stupid "thanks for applying
, we'll get back to you" crap. *sigh*
Hey petscii.com guy! telbbs.petscii.com is not resolving! Fix it! :)
Anyway, if you want help getting DE back up, send me an email - geneb @
deltasoft.com and I'll see what I can do. We can work it out over the phone
later.
ttyl!
g.
Thanks. I will try googling TELBBS. I have an 'earlier' version of
GBBS Pro that has various modems 'hard coded' into the program (don't
know if the later version of GBBS was any smarter). If I recall, the
highest speed on it's modem list was 28.8 kbaud (or whatever the
measurement speed was). I wonder if there is a way around that.
I experimented some with a null modem but without much success. I
think the best I could get was using an old 300 baud modem and
transferring some files that way.
Thanks!
Good. Hi, Skip. :>

try jledger.proboards19.com :)

Hey, whatever works...
I have a version of BBS Server amongst my archives; I emailed Skip to
ask whether I can send it to him. You want a copy too?
Ryan/Pina/whomever
I have a few disks of C-Net 128 stuff, but I think it's mostly the
setup stuff itself, not PRG.* files per se. I'll check over the
weekend, okay? I can catch you on IRC or your BBS sometime. Just a
matter of where you check first :)
