Some nice Commodore stuff here.

The one guy had C64 Guitar Hero setup along with every piece of hardware imaginable from Retro Innovations. Witnessed him connect to an IRC room from a C64.

Another guy was scanning pics to PETSCII on a PET 2001 from his iPhone! Amazing stuff.

Here's a link to today's event.

Here's a link to last year's event.

judging from the photos, it seems like this event should be renamed to
"vintage anything festival" =)

I would be that "one guy" ! I'm glad you liked my exhibit. I *did*
have stuff from places other than Retro Innovations. Just trying to
show off "What's new for the old commodore 64".

Well some of those photos are not from the Festival, but are from the
museums that are there. Like the Antique Radio Museum, the World War 2
museum, the electronic warfare museum, the shipwreck museum, etc. They
are part of InfoAge: http://www.infoage.org/ The museum sponsoring it
is M.A.R.C.H. (Mid-Atlantic Retro Computing Hobbyists). The museum is
open every Sunday from 1pm to 5pm, so anyone can stop by and see the
vintage computers for free.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH..... now that makes sense. i really wondered wtf some of
these items have to do with classic computers (cannon? wth? =D)
The question of whether a computer can think is no more interesting than the
question of whether a submarine can swim.

Whoa! Artillery Duel Net appearance! ;-)

Now I know why you were asking for help with the crossover cable.
Looks like it worked out for you, thanks for using it in your demo.

That was Jeff Brace.

That was Mike Hill of PETdisk fame.

No problem ! It was fun. I just wish there were more Commodore
internet games. It seems that there is Artillery Duel and NetRacer. I
hope to develop one of my own soon. Maybe with KipperBASIC.

BIOS has posted my video, "Commodores and
more at VCF East 8.0", at

http://blip.tv/file/6124524

and at

http://youtu.be/R670Oe3L8hc

In the video, among other things, you'll see Jeff
Brace talking about his Commodore exhibit and
Mike Hill talking about his PET exhibit.

The majority of my video footage, that of the
sessions with CBM engineer Bil Herd and C=
enthusiast Rob Clarke, is being sent to Bil
for him to edit together with his footage.
Eventually, he will release that.
