It has been sometime since a complete listing of Commodore FTP sites has been
posted. The last I saw was from Robert Furguson, a while ago. Here is what
he posted then:

This is the list of FTP sites for the Commodore 64 and 128 computers.
It was obtained with permission from archie. Please feel free to send
me E-mail if you have any corrections or updates.
To use this list on a UNIX system, just type 'ftp <sitename>', where
<sitename> is any of the sites listed below. Use 'anonymous' as
your login, and your E-mail address for the password. You can change
and list directories with 'cd' and 'dir', respectively, and download
files to your system using 'get'. Be sure to specify either 'binary'
if you are getting a program, or 'ascii' for a text file before you
begin the download.
Remember, not all the sites listed below actually have programs that
will run on a Commodore. Have fun!

If the users here agree, I am willing to become the current self-appointed
keeper of the Commodore FTP Sites.
But because of commitments and time limitations, I can do this only with the
cooperation of those actually doing FTP activities. What is requested is that
you send to me (DO NOT post here) any updates, changes, corrections, etc., to
the list above. Any e-mails pertaining to this should be direct and to the
point, e.g., "delete *that* because it is shut down, and add *this* because it
just opened and here are the directories for Commodore related files.

In turn, I will post to the NewsGroup monthly (or more often if a concensus
agrees) a composite listing of what will hopefully be a current listing of FTP
sites.
