I don't have the link (ask/look around at http://plus4.emucamp.com/)
but one problem is that I believe it'll only run on the PAL Plus/4.

It currently just works with the 1551 drive.

Yes, it was called GEOS 3.5, and I was quite surprised when
British friend, Peter Hanson, demonstrated it to me back in 1999.
Now the big question. Where can I get a 1551? I have never been able to find
one.

Well for anyone interested I found the link:
http://www.cbm264.com/geos/geosplus4.html
:-)
Do you know if it runs regular C64 Geos Software? For that matter, does
GEOS128 run C64 Geos software?
- Brian
Most of it - yes. There are four types of GEOS programs:
- 40 columns only (GEOS 64 or 128)
- 80 columns only (GEOS 128 only)
- C64 only (GEOS 64 only)
- 40 or 80 columns (GEOS 64 or 128)

What do you mean for "regular"? I've tried to run GeoWrite64 on Plus/4 geos,
and I did not have success, while I had full success running my GEOS
programs (developed in C language) compiled with CC65 and GEOSLib: I ran
those on GEOS for Plus/4, GEOS 64 and GEOS 128 (40 cols)... true binary
compatibility! :)

I would suspect that the problem with geoWrite might have been that
pesky serial number check that it performs.
If we were able to change the standard GEOS programs so that they
would no longer look for the serial number, then they might possibly
run.
I myself would love to mess with GEOS on my Plus/4. Unfortunately,
all I have are the standard serial bus disk drives. That 1551 is
mighty difficult to find. If anyone wants to donate one though, feel
free to send it my way ;-)
Seriously though, any volunteers out there to covert it from it's
current state to one that might work with the serial bus drives out
there such as the common 1541 or 1571 drives?
Of course, Maurice might have an opinion about this as well. One
would have to check with him and see if he cared about such a project
being performed. Since, licensing and such is up to him, any legal
distribution of the modified version would likely need his approval.

You mean, cc65 does support GEOS Plus/4 out of the box? This is new for me.
Good work Maciej!
