Anyone know where I can get a manual for an AEA PK64 tnc? I picked up one
and it seems to be working but I can't get the software to run. I assume
it's a SYS command as it takes 8K of basic memory away from the C64 as it
says "30719 bytes free". I tried SYS 32768 for the normal cartridge port
memory space but no joy.
I tried to goggle it but the only manual copy source seems old and I don't
trust it. Is it posted anywhere? Does someone have one that can help? The
cartridge port connection seems ok and the unit powers up and seems to set
itself up. I run Digicom on my C64's and 128 but wanted to try the PK64 for
the Commodores.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nice to see someone other than me is still useing the Digicom stuff.
I also have a Kantronics with CBM adapter Rom version 7, but its
still sittin here in a box and I am still useing Digicom V5 on my
c128 with 64k vdc. The MARS gang here are driving me nuts trying
to get me to wire something up and get on Pactor but I still rest
with my old MFJ TNC made for the CBM tape port. Packet only of
course.

Thanks for the info. I like ver 4.07a for the 128 and 64 also Digicom 128
MB-XA is great. Have you tried it? Finally got it to load a couple of years
ago after many years if trying. The 64 version worked great but I wanted to
get the 128 version to work but it always hung up. I finally found (by
accident) how to get it to load. It's a super auto forwarding mailbox
application. Like ver 4.07a but much better mailbox functionality. KANode
Auto forwarding, beaconing of messages etc. Would have been great to run
back during the hayday of packet based email. I have D64 versions if you
might like to try it.

Still looking for the SYS command for PK-64. I found a place for the manual
but it costs more that I paid for the PK-64! Anyone have the SYS command to
start it? I know the software from my Com Pakratt for my PK-232 so I can
probably figure it out if I can only get it started.

I bought a PK64 at a hamfest a few weeks ago just for the manual. I now
have two of them, the first I got for next to nothing but no manual. As
you know SYS33333 will bring it to life. I don't have access to a free
copier or a scanner, but send me an email at n3...@NOSPAMarrl.net and
we'll try to work something out.
