I used to use it a while back. I don't use it now. What specific problems
were you having?

Uhh. There were several steps, most of which I don't recall off the top
of my head, in terms of specific syntax and so on. However, the basic
idea was :

(1) Download and extract the BeBochs archive.
(2) Read all the documentation really thoroughly and follow the
instructions (which tell you to move a bunch of the files and folders
to various specific places on your system, etc.).
(3) Set up a virtual disk file. I made a 500MB virtual disk file,
following the instructions provided.
(4) Ignore the part about the copying floppies to files, and instead edit
my .bochsrc file to just point to the raw floppy disk device.
(5) Perform all the remaining necessary edits to .bochsrc, following the
guidelines in that file.
(6) Insert the DOS 6.22 Setup Disk 1, and boot BeBochs.
(7) Follow the usual procuedure for installing DOS.

Without a strict set of step by step instructions, I am lost.

I know that the .bochsrc file has to be configured...but I don't
understand just what to do. I have a second hard drive (unused, fat 32),
beos 4.5 and windows 98 on a dual boot (drive 1) running a P2 350 with 128
megs of ram.

I would love help, and promise to help others if you can walk me through
it!

Cheers,
Jordan

Okay. But what exactly are you aiming for with Bochs? How you configure
it depends on how you intend to use it.
