I think I hacked the BeSavage driver to point to my card (0x8D02) but I
had to take one of the other "settings" scripts that live in home/
config/settings/ and use that as a template which i renamed
BeSavage.settings and now I can boot without the spacebar to a
greyscale desktop. Before I did some things and I could boot to a color
desktop but the mouse was frozen and it wouldnt take any input from the
keyboard. So now I have sound, mouse, and greyscale desktop. So I'm
getting closer to a working BeOS :)

If theres a better app to use than yab-ide to look at and fix the
driver files, let me know...

There's also DiskProbe, which lets you open files in hexadecimal and modify
them. And for executables, "nm" will list the functions and symbols inside
them, which might help in finding things.

Thanks I'll try those editors. I had it booting in greyscale for a
while then I "tried some stuff" and now its back to booting in color
and locking up.
Yay!
