Just a BTW, docs I read seem to make the Rockwell 65C02 variant a
65SC02 clone, is this correct?

If you are referring to the 6502 pin-compatible version of the 65816,
the Rockwell 65C02, 65C102 and 65C112 extensions certainly aren't
compatible with it. For instance, the block operations are missing
from the Rockwell chips.
