Hi !

Does anyone know whether Calamus SL is Falcon-compatible or not ? And if it
can handle the 640x480x256 colors mode ?

I know that the Falcon IS F030 compatable. And it does run in the TT modes
as well, which includes 640x480x256. There is an update coming this summer
that takes more advantage of the Falcon's abilities as well as fixes several
bugs. ALso look for some maor updates in the modules.

Calamus SL does run on the Falcon! As far as I understand, the res it was
running in at DMC when I saw it was 640 X 480 X 256 colours. Even better
was SL running on Mario's TT w/ a MAG colour monitor running 1024 X 768 X
256 colours with Cybercube's Cyrel Sunrise VME colour card!

An aside for this is that if anyone is considering cutting corners & buying
calamus 1.09n ('coz it's 200 pound(uk) cheaper), be warned that it doesn't
like anything but ST MONO mode, & buggers up under MultiTOS really bad.

A friend of mine has runs Calamus SL in 800x600x256 colours mode, and then
it should work in 640x480x256 colours mode, shouldn't it??

It is. But do get a 14 meg Falcon if you want to do color DTP.

The 256 color mode isn't supported yet, it works but only displays 16 colors...

Thanks. However, I tried CALAMUS in that mode, and I got nasty results. Fonts
were completly distorted and really it looked like garbage.
