Hi all,

I'm servicing an Atari SC1224 monitor for a friend.
This is the one made by Goldstar with the controls on the right side.
Made in 1987. He says it just died one evening.

Can someone help me find a schematic.
I'm suspecting a flyback/high voltage block problem.
The power supply is good and the horizontal output is good.
The B+ supply is roughly 130V when disconnected from the main board
and gets pulled down to 55V when reconnected. No smoke or any sign
of burnt components anywhere.

Does anyone have an SC1224 that died for some reason other than
horizontal section failure that they might consider selling for parts?

Rex, I had one of those repaired up in Leesville about 5 years ago
(badly done, too). The tech managed to get a new flyback from
Goldstar, but it cost $90. Suggest you try to find a used, working
SC1224 and keep the old one for parts.

I just ordered one from TOAD Computers, $69.00. My
Gold Star died the same way. It isn't listed in their catalog, you have
to talk to them, Phone or EMail. (I've been off for less then a hour.)
