I have looked everywere for NVDI 5 and connot find any one that sells
it any more.
This includes ASH, European Shareware, Sytem Solutions and they dont
have it anymore.
I have E-mailed the Authors of NVDI 5 from their homepage and the
links are dead. I have called the 3 major atari dealer still left in
the USA, B&C, Best and Video 61, they dont have it. I have spoken to
via E-mail, all the European Atari Vendors that I can find on the web
and they dont have it. See this is what I get for putting all my Atari
computers in the closet for 10 plus years. I have NVDI 4 and just need
the upgrade to 5.

Does any body know where to get it or can anybody help me?

Got my first Atari in in 1979, 800 with a 410 tape drive,Zaxxon on
tape and a star raiders cartridge, I was hooked.

Got my Last Atari in 1992 I think, Falcon 030, and gota CT63 on order
from Mr. Czuba.

Please anybody with info?????

Seriously, please, if you are a programmer and you're going to give up
on development, just open source the darned thing so that our poor old
machines can die of old age rather than the sudden disappearance of it's
lifeblood, software. You're obviously not going to make any more money
by discontinuing a program, so please pass along the benefits of your
time hard spent to others in the form of open source software.

I remember not too many years ago people arguing that free open source
software would kill off our platform. But look what's happening now:
Magic is gone while Mint still exists. NVDI is gone while fVDI still
exists. Jinnee and Thing are all but gone while Teradesk continues. TOS
is gone while EmuTOS lives on. Open source brings just a little extra
life to dying platforms. So release your software so it can live on a
little longer rather than die the pathetic death of deletion, disk
decay, or a trash can.

I own Calamus. which might have helped. But, if you find the Calamus web
page, you will see a copy of NVDI 5, on CD, available for sale, for a
reasonable price plus reasonable shipping. Try there first, and if that
doesn't work, try here again.

Hi Rob!

U>I have looked everywere for NVDI 5 and connot find any one that sells
U>it any more. This includes ASH,

Strange. On their homepage, it's still avaialble:

http://www.ashshop.de/ashshop/

from there, activate the link "Atari" in the top left box named "Kategorien".
Then click again on "Atari", and at the end of page 1 of the list there's the
NVDI 5 update from NVDI 3/4 (named NVDI 5 Update 1) at EUR 40. Click on the
"Bestellen" Button to the right to place it in the cart, then "Zur Kasse gehen"
in the left column (below "Einkaufswagen"). Then you've got to register, but I
haven't tested from there on.

With best regards
Ekkehard

Have you tried http://www.calamus.net/order/ already, as has been suggested by
Jim DeClercq? There you can get NVDI 5 new (near the end of the list). You
might ask Ulf Dunkel if he sells updates, too.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas :-(

What address do you use, the "t-online.de" or the "webmaster"?

I emailed Invers and got these 2 emails back

Robert:
I am sorry, but at the moment there are no NVDI 5 copies in stock
anymore. I will try and get new ones ...

the just got this one

Hi Robert.

I have reached the makers of NVDI and they informed me that the
relevant
Bitstream VectorScaler license has expired and cannot be renewed for
several reasons. Thus they cannot create new serial numbers for NVDI
for
legal reasons.

This said, I resume that NVDI is dead. Please try and get a legal
copy
from old Atari users who do no longer use it. Try and contact them in
several news groups.

Good luck.
