It looks now like a Geocities-Site: overlapping content, nearly
unreadable, animated GIFs, bad contrast. Sorry to say, but it looks
horrible. Or is it ironic and I don't get it?

Zoli, you should definitely redo it from scratch, even frame-based
version would be better than this. Also every-month-changing domain
address isn't very user friendly.
Anyway, I changed some things, so no more overlap should happen.
Animated GIFs stay :-)
Bad contrast was not there - really don't know on what crap you
browsing ? :-)
Do you talk about index page or generally ? What page has bad
contrast ?
Every month changing domain ? Folks, you really talk like spoiled
childs.
I was forced to start new site in April, when 07x.net suddenly
deleted all free hosted sites.
From that days content is on petari.000space.com . This
8bitchip.info for now goes parallel. And it is paid site. So, site
change was last time in April ... Really demotivating reading posts
like yours. With such attitude no wonder that Atari community is every
day smaller. I mean, some critic is welcome, but not like you do -
exaggering .

Most people do. I use Firefox and Opera and see the same as Götz.
Text/links are partially overlapping icons/pictures.

That overlapping is intentional. Icon and text partially over it
links to same page.
I talked by overlapping Site news division by AdSense in case of MS
Internet Explorer - and I saw it only on one machine in public
library, not on mine.
I really don't get what some people has against little unusual
design, against animated GIFs ?
What I dislike is some rigid format, like 'military' ordered icons .
P.S. whole site content is 'overlapping' in some way. Many pages
contain partially same data as other one(s) :-)
The design of your site is what you want it to be!
No need to argue about that.
I use IE8 and it is clear and readable.
Talking about the contents: I found your site very interesting, I
didn't know that some Atarians were still so productive on hardware. Do
you plan to publish your work and not more, or to produce the items you
are describing?
The section about game adaptation to run from HD is great too.

(On page http://atari.8bitchip.info/astide.php, the link "IDE Hard disk
speed test doesn't work for me).
It looks that I like to argue :-) Especially when people talking not
true things :-)
Redesigned it again - now centered.

Most of projects there is for DIY enthusiasts.
Only CATA - cartridge port IDE adapter is planned for production and
sale.

I working on some new things/solutions for it - but it goes slowly.
Some 'new' games are in plan too.

Correct, but that version is obsolete. Never versions contain all
tests.
Best to use GUI version : 'New Speed Test PRG' - accessible via
green
menu bar at top of most pages. http://atari.8bitchip.info/ahpt.html
