Volume control on Falcon?

Hello,
can anyone tell me how the Master Volume control does work on a plain
Falcon with the FSOUND.CPX? I've consulted a hardware register listing
but couldn't locate something for this.
I don't mind direct hw access and code for plain TOS in mind. I don't
care at all if it breaks MagiC or MiNT.
