RIP Paul.
Thanks for reaching-out to us and providing so much of the old stuff
and thanks for the many packages that you sent. You will always come
to mind when I think of Aztec C and the other interests we shared like
CP/M.
The good die young, you among them.
Oh my! He was so very young. I had no idea that he was younger than I.
His contributions to the Apple II Community were rare, but necessary.
I appreciated everything he did for me, both as colleague and as friend.
I'm going to miss him terribly. 8^(

I last saw Paul in the fall. At that time he was in a wheel chair but
still able to move about and still actively working to serve the
vintage community. So sorry that he is gone but glad that he is at
peace.

Damn. Can't believe how young Paul was. He helped me out with so many bits
of hard-to-find software over the years...
Sad news, indeed.
Steve
I hate to bring this up now, but has anyone archived the contents of Paul's
"secret" a2 e-mail account?
We miss you, Paul.
Charlie
I've got it in raw form, messages/headers and attachments. I'll make
whatever is available in the appropriate categories on the LCP site
over the coming week/end.
WOW, only 48. He had a
while ahead of him to live still. Sad to see someone pass at that age
(sad to see anyone pass).
Even if i am only 31 it shocks me when someone that age passes.
Even though i never knew him or ever talked to him (that i know of) I
have much respect to him and his family and friends that knew him.
Paul was a dear and kind friend that was always quick to help all
Apple fan.
I am sad.

Apple II and Apple III forever !!!
Not sure that is necessary since it is already available in the
sys.apple2 account. Since it is a public community account, everyone
who wants access to it already has it.
Paul helped many in the community without fanfare or recognition
expected. He helped me on occaision with different projects along the
way and will be sorely missed. Rest in Pease Paul.
(Thanks for posting the obit link Bill B.)
Sad to see him go. :-( I'm sure he's off to the land where cassette tape
programs load in one try and your disks never go bad from age.
I was of the belief that Paul owned this account and simply permitted the
community to use it. Since when does Google permit communal ownership of
e-mail accounts?
Since we all know how to acquire the keys to it, we all "own" it.
Paul, may he rest in peace, wisely ran it that way. It's not a matter
of Google permitting it or not.
This is another sad loss for many of us personally as well as the Apple
2 community. U am deeply saddened by the news but I am grateful it was
brought to our attention. Thanks Bill.

Paul's brother wrote me and provided the obit... if anyone wants his
email please write in private mail... he has indicated to pass his
email on where appropriate.
Before Paul died he sent me a couple boxes of documentation and
software for my collection including Aztec C compilers and he said
that anything that was left after he was gone would go to the
dumpster.
I see now that his brother will see that this will not happen.
I am certain that his brother would respond positively if anyone who
was working on something with Paul needs access to his retro
collection.
Since Paul and I are in different countries and freight and customs is
prohibitive it made better sense to me to take only the bits and
pieces of our shared passion for collection that could fit in a couple
of small boxes. His brother has indicated that an entire attic must be
sorted. There are many people here who are at least as worthy as I so
I simply wanted to mention this.
Regards,
Bill

Hopefully someone who lives near Paul's house will salvage this treasure.
Sorry to here that. So, young.Thought he was much older. He never
mention health problems or that he had any problems getting around. I
mentioned a few place that I would go for the Apple II itemss and some
that would be a litle closer for him. He has to be about 2.5 hours
south of me. Sorry hear it, so young.
