Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the documentation for this program? I was doing a web search for the docs and saw it mentioned in the Mar 97 issue of Shareware Solutions. Is Larry Bell still around and is it possible to get the docs from him by paying him the shareware fee? From what I read this will be a really good prgram to use with my telescope, but I don't think I would get the most use out of it by just installing it and playing round with it.

Thanks in advance,
Magnus

I've got the latest version (that I could find) archived here:

https://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za/astronomergs.html

Documentation (all 48k of it) appears to be on the first disk.

Thanks, I think I downloaded Atronomer GS from your web site. If you open the About.AstroGS file it tells you the documentation on the disk is enough to get you going but to get the most use of the program pay the shareware fee and he'll send you a 130 page documentation with pictures and diagrams.

Considering the program was created 30 years ago I didn't know if Larry Bell might still be at the address listed in the docs or not. I guess I could try looking him up online. I'd really like to have the complete documentation as it looks like a really excellent program.

Have you been able to find a lead on Larry D. Bell?

I have the manual I bought back in the day but it is for an older
version (2.1) than the one on Alex's site. It only has about 86 pages.

I found an old AOL email address in the docs on the disk and just sent an email there, but it bounced and I haven't been a ble to find anything else online. If you'd be willing to share a copy of the documentation you have I'd be willing to pay you for it.

Thanks in advance,
Magnus

I checked the two residential addresses he had in the documentation.
Neither had people there with names that matched, so I'll send you an
email.
