I would really like a color monitor for my III. What are my options?
The manual has a schematic for connecting to a color studio monitor--I
am not exactly sure what that is. Googling around suggested an
AppleColor 100. I've been looking for that for my IIe for about a year
now. So I need another option.

Thanks again.

I've adapted the IIgs RGB monitor to it - the colors are wrong, but at
least it's something other than monochrome!

Is it digital RGB like the IIc? Look around for a Video 7 adapter and
it might work. If you use the analog Video 7 with a IIc in order to use a
GS monitor, you'll get 8 colours - 2 of them are switched but the digital
box will display 16 colours - all correct.

I dont know about the IIc + but the IIc does not put out a RGB signal anywhere, even the video port is composite with some signals broken out.

If you can't find an ACM100, Electrohome made a compatible monitor
(the model number escapes me at the moment, but I can probably dig it
up if you need). Any monitor from that era that can handle digital
XRGB should be able to accept the ///'s video output.

It's worth noting that the Apple /// Owner's Guide has a circuit you
can build that will allow you to adapt the /// to an analog RGB
monitor and get the correct output.

I have an AppleColor 100 monitor and the board that goes with it. If you're interested shoot me a note. I got it to use with my IIe, but it turns out some DHRG games are incompatible with it so I don't use it anymore.
