I've tested it with the Uthernet Card, the WiModem232 and the WiFi232.

Great!

I tried with ip65 on the Uthernet II and server responds ok.....
disconnected.

Were you using ip65 or a different client?

Seems to work just fine with the VT100 display on Spectrum, though it
scrolls by so fast, it could do with a page break prompt being given, so
you can stop and read each section without having to go offline and read
the buffer in the Editor.

It works also very good with ASCII Express Pro and the WiFi232 or PROTerm and the WiModem232. There you can use the scroll back function or just stop the scrolling by clicking on a function on the upper bar.

And if someone desides to write a Gopher client for the ][,being that one step closer to www than telnet, Wikipedia can be reached on gopher://gopherpedia.com

At the risk of showing my ignorance once again, I'll pass this along:

I was unable to connect via Telnet to Wikipedia using my Apple II
through its serial connection (getty) to the Mac OS X Unix Terminal.

So, I tried it again on the Mac without the involvement of the Apple II.
Again I failed.

After determining that neither my ISP nor my firewall was blocking Port
23 from working, it hit me.

My mistake:

I entered:

telnet wmflabs.org 23

Whereas, I *should have* entered:

telnet telnet.wmflabs.org 23

Details, details.

BTW, thanks for the tip!
