Is there an easy way to put custom backgrounds (wallpaper) on the IIgs under System 6.0.1? I know it's possible, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to go about it (maybe a control panel plug-in or program).

Well apparently there is:

How did I not see this before?

Better idea: write your own version ;-)

Or use Sheppy's program. Quality Computers had one. Let's say, there were plenty of such utilities.

Check out the system extensions I've put together for desktop
wallpapers and anything else you can think of:

Make a quick way is to download the bootable System 6.0.1 image with
freeware and shareware games I've had available for some time:

http://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za/files/harddrive_image.zip

That comes with a minimal set of extensions, but includes my favourite
freeware desktop/wallpaper extension – it's a desk accessory called
DeskMaker. Check out in the System folder.
