Friends,

A couple of years ago I made a beautiful PowerPoint presentation using MOV
files. MOV files are the file format from Apple's QuickTime. They used to
run smoothly in PowerPoint '97.

Of course we progress during time and now I use PowerPoint XP. A great
program with lots of possibilities. Unfortunately my Mov files no longer
run.

Has anybody got a clue how I can make the Mov files run under PowerPoint XP,
or how I can change Mov files into for instance avi files?

Thank you all for your kind answers.

I have on my "to read" list an article in the November DV
Magazine about using video in Power Point. I believe that
it and a previous article in the October issue get into some
of the issues that you raise.

I can't help you directly, but I can suggest you go to the
Presentations Magazine website and read through some of their archived
articles. There have been many articles on the finer points of
Powerpoint, as well as most all other presentation software packages.
I don't recall if they also have forums where you might pose your
question, but they probably have a means to contact them and ask for
help from some of their resident experts. It's worth a try.

Here is a URL for an article on using video in powerpoint:

Good Luck,
