Hello,

My brother-in-law has a 68020 accelerator board from MTec, in his A500.
These are the docs that came with the board. He doesn't understand
German. Could someone please translate this into English please?

Also, does anyone know how well this accelerator works in an
A2000/MegaChip2000/Supra 8Meg fast RAM expansion/Oktagon2008 SCSI
controller/3.1 ROM ?

Thanks

entsprechend eingebunden.

Starten aus dem CLI
-------------------

Syntax: Add32Bit [resetfest] [-i]

[ German text ]

Okay, I've been translating German to English all night, so why not make it a
morning? I think the newspaper just arrived, but who cares. Another cheerful
night & day in the service of the Amiga. Story of my life.

Anyway, enough self-pity for now; back to business. I'm not sure what the
correct term for "einbinden" is in the case of memory (it normally means eg. "to
mount" some device) so I've translated it with "configure" here. Note also that
this translation is quite literal, the German is a bit flaky in places and I've
made no attempt to make the translation look any better. Anyway there really
isn't much in there:

Add32Bit V2.1 by Frank Weiser for Hardware Design Neuroth

Add32Bit is a utility for Neuroth turbo cards to configure 32-bit RAM in a
reset-proof manner.

When started from the Workbench, Add32Bit opens an Intuition interface to let
you easily configure the RAM.

The program automatically determines how much RAM is available on your turbo
board.

Using the interface
-------------------
The window contains a gadget marked "not reset-proof" (/nicht resetfest/). Use
this gadget to select whether the memory should be configured as reset-proof or
not. Clicking this gadget once changes the text from "not reset-proof" (/nicht
resetfest/) to "reset-proof" (/resetfest/). Clicking it again changes it back
to the old setting "not reset-proof" (/nicht resetfest/).

The "Cancel" (/Abbrechen/) gadget exits the program without configuring the
memory.

After confirming by clicking the "OK" (/OK/) gadget, the memory is configured
according to the settings you have selected.

Running from CLI
----------------

Usage: Add32Bit [resetfest] [-i]

The "resetfest" option causes the memory to be configured in the reset-proof
manner.

The -i option causes the Intuition interface to be opened.

Well, that's it. Hope it helps. If not, "it's not my fault!". Should there be
any complaints about this file, I'll be happy to delete it from my harddisk and
consider it unposted. :-)

Seriously though, good luck and all that.
