Hi, I recently obtained a UK Amiga 1500, which has a 220v 50Hz power
supply. I live in the states, so I need to know if I can replace the
power supply with an A2000 power supply and be good to go. Is there
anything else I can do? Thanks

You can replace the supply with a 110V unit, or you can adapt a PC supply.
The PC supply doesn't generate a tick signal but there is a jumper on the
motherboard that you can set so the A2000 uses an alternate tick signal
derived from the video circuit. The only problem is that genlock type
devices probably won't be able to sync and work correctly.

The jumper in question labeled J300 and is normally positioned in the 2-3
position. You can find the jumper under the power supply with the carrier
removed.

Hope that helps.

Clockmeister.
