I have a dead Amiga 4000T.
No, REALLY dead.
When the power supply is connected to the board and turned on, nothing
powers up -- even the power supply fan does not turn. This persists
even when every other power connector (except the board connectors) is
removed. Every card is removed. Even when every THING (even the CPU
board) is removed.
When the board connectors ARE removed, the power supply is fine, and
anything else I have it connected to is fine. I even tried with a
spare 4000t power supply. I even removed the board and suspended it,
in case the board may be shorted to the case.
Any advice is appreciated.
Have you checked the fuse?
It will be located inside the PSU if it's not externally accessible. Make
sure you unplug the power supply and careful of any big capacitors that
could give you a nasty surprise.
Is it an towerized A4000D or a rela Tower-version?
Have you looked at the connector of the motherboard? Are the plastics
smoked or deformed?

It is a real 4000T, and the connectors look fine on both sides, as do
the capacitors near the connectors.
