I've tried to upgrade the roms of my old A2000 by changing it by an
EPROM. I've got some M27C4002 chips, I programmed them with a
3.1Kickstart but that doesn't work. I've tried to swap the Odd/Even
Bytes but it havn't worked either. Do i need to program the EPROM in a
special way ? Are some data or adress pins swapped on the a2000
motherboard ?
Any help appreciated. Thanks :)

(once it work i will be able to buy one of those nice Ethernet Zorro2
board :)

There's only one Kickstart ROM chip on an A2000. There's no odd/even
pair to swap.

I had the same problem in my old second-hand A600 :-)
After some investigation I found that the pinout of the KickRom and
27c4002/27c4096 was completely different. I think you need a special
adapter which would translate 27c4002 to KickROM pins. I remember I was
about to built one, but the decription of the Kick pins was unreachable to
me. The pinout of 27c4002 is easy to find on the net. Could anybody send me
the pinout of the 16-bit Kick ROM??
It should be extractable from the Amiga electrical diagram I regret I do
not have. If I have the KickROM pinout I will try to translate 27c4002 into
it and report the results to the group.
If you want to reply, PLS remove "ochronaprzedspamem." in my email.

Since you are putting the contents of two 16bit wide eproms
into one 16bit wide eprom, then you have to interleave each
even/odd word (not byte) to achieve the same effect.

Presumably nanard isn't sure which eprom of the normal
3.1 pair is addressed as the odd/even word

Suggest you use a 29F400 Flash rom which is pin compatible,
except for /WE which you will have to supply, plus with some
software you can program it "in-system".

As far as the schematics for both the 2000 and 1200 are concerned,
it does not appear that any Data/Address lines are connected in
an out-of-sequence way, so you should just be able to program it
normally.

???? I recently replaced my 1.3 Kickstart ROM with a 3.1 ROM. The
A500/A2000 motherboard requires a single kickstart ROM chip, not a pair
as in the A3000, A4000, etc. If he's taking the code from a set of the
paired ROMs, he's likely going to have the wrong code anyway.

Of course I'm taking the code from a ONE CHIP 3.1 kickstart (designed
to upgrade a500,600 or 2000) an not from a Two chip kickstart that
doesn't even run on a 68000 but needs an 68020
