This is a short sign off to reduce delay on the internet !
That would be great! Is it very difficult to do?

Post the hack up so we all can see it! It would be great to use a High
Density Floppy on our amigas with a cheap PC drive. Thanks!!

Me too, I'm interested in this. Any chance of sending it to Aminet as well?

I would be interested in seeing the diagram. If you don't post
I don't know if he is laying,or something.but it will not work
PC drive can work on Amiga only as a pc drive,no hack.

Yes, upload the file to Aminet. And if the file is not too big, post it
on this newsgroup.

YES, post it! Perhaps you should put it on Aminet as well. What's your trick for
making this possible? How much hardware?

Yes please do... I have an IBM HD drive sitting here collecting dust and
well um one of my DD drives DIED so I would like to use it.

Yes, please post the information.

No I don't think so, it sounds plausible. I too am interested in how it was
done.

As far as I can see in the circuit diagram here a few days ago, he slowed
down the floppy rotation speed by using a divide-by-2 on the floppy motor
clock.
>Tom D Tek
I was working on something similar, but now I have to wait for a new CIA
and a PC floppy drive. My machine crashes when I double click in WB. :(
K. C. Lee
Hmmm. What about DRV144.lzh ? Its on Aminet, and is supposedly a way
to connect a high density floppy drive to an early Amiga.

Jim Pierce Bach. of Sc. Disclaimer:Standard.
Seems like doing it this way (without modifiying the flux density when in
low speed mode) would cause read/write problems due to the lower RPM's.
Can he format a 1.44 on the AMiga and actually read/write to/from
it on a Clone?

BUT you can only format to 880K NOT 1760K. It works. I have seen it. I'm his
friend :-)
