What does it cost to repair CyberStormPPC at DCE. I need to know
beforehand and I'm not sure I'll get an answer from them.

months of unjustifiable delays.

it seems that, unless your asking to buy a product, your chances of a response
are somewhere between slim and zero. and slim has gone on a diet:-)

They repaired my Cyberstorm for under 200USD which beats buying a new
unit!

Don't make them bader then they are; I emailed them yesterday about my
defective BlizzardPPC and I got an answer today.

well, i beg to differ with both of you:-) they've not only basically ignored
my e-mails, but software hut's as well.

here's my last (and i mean last) e-mail to dce. if i do not here anything,
then i'll be going back to the gvp/tek 060 board, which does not boot from an
pfs partition.

letter as sent to thomas:

Thomas,

This is rediculous that my board has been back for repair since May! And it is
truly baffling--and perhaps unethical--that you have stated, when you thought
it appropriate to reply at all, "next shipment", and never fulfilled that
promise.

If DCE is incapable of fulfilling its present business commitments, perhaps it
should find another business.

Seven months to repair or replace the board is unjustafiable. My patience is
at its end.

Honestly: will you, or will you not, replace my A2060 soon?

Regards.

Just out of interest, what language is everyone using to communicate with
DCE here? I just wondered if we're getting a different response from them
based on whether you used German or English. I heard that they only spoke
German?

I know it's still no excuse for not replying but it may be a factor.

I got an answer. They said it would take at least 4 weeks and cost between
200 and 400 d-mark.

I just want a CyberStormPPC. A new one, with CV-PPC. I have a 750 quid order
with PowerComputing for said items, and have had the order placed for a long
time.

You are right, I emailed them then after a month I emailed them again, then
another month I emailed them about 10 times (one per week) and I never got a
SINGLE reply form them - basically since I bought it from Phase 5, I was
expecting to have to pay to have my Cybervision PPC fixed anyway, but seems
DCE are very bad as far as replying to emails are concerned. As for now, I
probably will have this faulty Cybervision PPC for as long as I live.

Well, at least one person there must speak english as they have an
english section on their site =)

We always have - and still do - carry out repairs for individuals (as
well as companies) in Germany. But clearly there are potential language,
currency and time zone issues outside Germany and so we will be dealing
via our existing product distributors for these areas, including the UK
where Power Computing and Eyetech will be able to accept repairs
destined from us.
----------

But still, if they would have good service they should reply to ppl from
abroad, but they probably are way understaffed or something.

But it seems they won't repair stuff from outside germany.

Regards Roald
