I run into problems when trying to use ADPro to display to the Picasso.
Using the Picasso Saver is fine but using Picasso Render Screen modes
causes a software failure and using the Load and Show Picasso arexx
script loads the file but doesn't display (ADPro can't display image...)
What (if anything) am I doing wrong here?
Thanks for any replies.

My system is good for approx. 5 renders to the PIC before it crashes.

v2.53 of the Picasso Monitor actually fixed this problem, of course it
introduced a whole load of other problems and VillageTronic told everyone to
stop using it. Hopefully the next version of the driver will be ok...

I had no idea that CHUNK mode could have been the culprit! I'll check it
out ASAP.
I haven't seen a "HiColor" option yet but TrueColor works fine now that
I'm using 3.1 8-)
Any idea why the LoadandSavePicasso option doesn't work?
(I get Adpro can't display Image...)
Do I have to edit the arexx script in some way?
Thanks again for your response.
I guess being down under gives you a better perspective on these things!
G'day to you!

I just got my 3000 upgraded to 3.1. I have a Picasso II board
installed as well. I have no problem with running the monitor file in CHUNKY
mode and using it with the latest version of ADPro, 2.5. I had a problem with
it a few months ago, crashing. I checked out the saver files in ADPro and
found out I must have had an older version of the file. The current picasso
saver file I'm using is 2.3.10, and the file size is 15804.

I have been experimenting with ADPro's screens and found that I can
render in a window now at 256 colors instead of 16. I have it set up to a
custom screen, 256 color. I can still render to the Picasso board if I set
up the render prefs to that, I usually use TrueColor modes.

Um, by HiColour I mean the modes ADPro offers as "TRUECOLOR:1024x768x16" or
similar.
But how did upgrading to 3.1 change your TrueColour 24 bits modes ?
edo> Any idea why the LoadandSavePicasso option doesn't work?
No idea. I never bothered much - I prefer setting the screenmode in the
requester and pressing "Execute".

Possibly.

Well, take a closer look at my .sig - I've only been here for two and a
half months so far. :-) But back in Germany I worked with Village Tronic,
so I guess that helped...
