Peter
Hello,
The below worked on my 3000 but not a friends 2000. Though I do know
he
managed to get it to work but I do not know how.

The following is assuming you put Warlords in Work:games/Warlords.
Okay for Warlords put all the follwing files in your Warlords drawer.
Directory Work:Games/Warlords
c Dir
map Dir
pics Dir
save Dir
sound Dir
title Dir
ClickMe 131
CickMe.info 994
WARLORDS 266956
WARLORDS.info 1798
In all the drawers put in everything from the disk, except for the C
drawer
you just need path in there. It doesn't seem to affect the game
wether it
is there or not, but I figure the game looks for it so no harm done.
Then copy the warlords.env_hd to your system s drawer and rename it
warlords.env. Now load up your favorite text editor and change the
warlords.env file form "1 wl:" to "1 work:games/".
Now while in your text editor make the following script up (I called
it
ClickMe).
assign warlordsI: work:games/warlords *The game makes it's own
assigns but
assign warlordsII: work:games/warlords *you still need these assigns.
stack 15000
Warlords
assign warlordsI: *I do this to remove the assign, instead of
having it in
assign warlordsII: *memory when I'm not using it.
Make a project icon for it and for the default tool put in c:iconx
(if thats
were your iconx is).
Now click your ClickMe and away we go. You will get the following in
your
iconx output window.
Can't find work:games/warlords/warlordsdata
assign failed returncode 20
There is no warlordsdata on either of the two disks and the failed
assign
does not appear to affect the game. It plays fine and saves and
reloads
fine.
I found that on my 3000/25mhz that I would not get the large square
around an army group so I have to run it from the disabled startup
shell. It works fine and the larger square is there.
To run the clickme from the shell set the protect bit for the script
on.
To do this type (make sure you are in the right drawer)
"protect clickme +s"
On some systems you may have to type execute clickme.
Bye...Take care and have a good one. :)

I beleive that yu can pick up a HD installer forthe game in the Aminet
sites. But do not mark my words on this. But I have seen several games
get HD installers that way. Take a look...
