Hello all. I used to play this game alot on the Amiga called Deuteros.
I got quite good at it, but there was this big group of aliens that would
attack me if I went past the Mars moon Phobos. I hope that someone knows
which game I am talking about. The plot of the game was to mine planets
for minerals and metals and do research to build technology. Eventually
you run into these aliens and eventually you have battle computers that
send out battle drones. The thing is, I can't build the drones fast
enough and the aliens wipe me out. So, my question is: Does anyone know
how to modify the save game file to do sort of a trainer, or even if a
trainer was made or something. Hell, just give me the bytes I need to
change and I can do it myself. It is a 1 disk game and I think it is
European. Please email me at ca...@jade.ncat.edu. Any help on this will
be greatly appreciated.

I've tried degrading, Relokicking and everything I can think of, but no

So do you have a trainer for this Markus? I may just write one in a
couple of weeks, but I was hoping someone allready made it. Anyone know
of any strategies for it? Walkthroughs, etc. Secret codes??? Cheats??
I know SOMEONE besides the two of us has played it.

No I don't have a trainer, but if you are writing one, which will run it on my
A1200, then I will be MOST happy. :-)

BTW I think Deuteros was the BEST space strategy game I've ever played.
INCLUDING Frontier.

Probably because I actually completed it.

Markus.

I have a walk through for it but not the game. I'll email you the text
file.

If you know someone who wants to sell their copy, let me know. I want it.

I would love to have the walkthrough. Anything helps! I know there has
to be some built in cheat buttons. The programmer had to test it
somehow. Anyone found anything? I did find something curious. I did
get a device called a Tachyon Transmitter in there by accident. I think
it may have been a bug. I got it right when I started the game, but I am
not sure how I did it. I will play it and let you know. Please email me
this walkthrough. I want to solve the darn thing 8)

Ah, memories. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work either, and sold
it. Did you ever figure out how to lock the pirates away? Was the sonic
blaster any use?!

Sonic blaster??? I don't remember getting this. Anyone know what the
Tachyon Transmitter was used for??? Anyways...someone sent me email
about a pretty good strategy (sorry I don't have the mail up or I would
mention your name. Feel free to respond by posting) that you could do.
Make only one part of your space station out around Pluto. This is
because the Martians attack from the outer rim and go inward twards the
Sun. Thus, the Martians will just wait there for you to complete the
station. I think he said they would try to attack it around 3 times
before moving inward. Now, I am unclear as to if they will just wait
indefinately or what. Also, I was able to get some sort of doomsday
device last time in which you moved 2 levers and it would blow up your
space station with a nuclear meltdown. Anyone know what that was used
for? Also, would anyone like to type up a manual and email it to me?
This game was never released in the states. I will offer someone $10
American dollars for the game if they are willing to part with it. Cmon
guys, lets milk out all the secrets of this game. I want to solve it.

Surely not ! The game was quite easy but still a challenge!
My best game time for completion was just over 12 hours, anybody beat that?!

I have completed Deuteros when I had an Amiga500. It truly was an excellent
game. The only thing I can recomment is build 5 Orbital factories and then
don't complete the 6th coz the aliens will start attacking, then you can build
up your attack fighters. Then if you get an alien base, and get the bomb
disposal thing, when you get attacked and lose the base the aliens dump loads
of minerals, fuel etc... which you can then grab. I think all this is correct,
I haven't played it for a while. All I seem to remember doing is having major
stores of all minerals and fuel and Earth and Mars and using the Matter
Transporter thing to get all the important stuff away from the battle front.

I think there is a cheat, but I can't really remember what. It might be that
you press Control and C together, but it only gives you maximum minerals.

Light switch does bugger all.
And the Sonic blaster just plays crappy music and has bugger all to do with
killing anything.

Ok fellas, I have been hard at work and here is what I have came up with
in the way of secrets:

First of all, I remembered how I got the Tachyon Transmitter at the start
of the game. First you watch the demo and then after the demo is over,
go to where you do the research on new devices thing. It should be
there. Also, here is the only cheat I can find for the game: To obtain
supplies, go to the surface stores and press SHIFT and C. The screen
should turn green almost immediately. Press SHIFT and C again and you
should have an infinite supply of everything. NOTE: It will say you
have 1 of everything, but it will be unlimited. You can build a orbital
space station in 1 sweep now. Also, this does not include a limitless
supply of battle drones (according to the docs..i haven't tried it myself
because I haven't been able to find my Deuteros disk!!!). Ok, next
question from me is this: What was that light switch for? I remember
you could point the mouse at it and click the LMB and it would make a
click and dim the lights in the room. Any clues????

Sorry I cant get it to work either, but I thought it excellent, (but
I thought its predecessor was excellent too, Millenium 2.2)

How do you stop them pirates, I never did....?

I played the original millennium 2.2 (i think) and although it was
simple I love it. Brought the sequel i.e. Deuteros and played it for
weeks. But like you when I got a 1200 is no longer worked :(. There was
a built in cheat that when you did something it gave you mass of
stocks e.g. loads of ships. A trainer would be useful but a way to make
it work on the 1200 would be more so.

it more than once (although it was a while back) and I know most,
probably all of the sneaky tactics, and the random events which
occur...

Ok guys, tell me what I am doing wrong. I have wiped out all the Meths
from the system of SOL. How do I know? Because my head of research
tells me so. But here is the kicker: No Star Class Galleons! It says
something to the effect that they are certain that no Methanoid colonies
are left, however a few warships may remain and then it says GAME OVER!
However, I can still play the game! Hrm. My guess is that I have the
DEMO version of the game. If this is so, could someone PLEASE PLEASE
sell me a copy of it? I know of nobody that has it here. Please Help!

Yes, there is a strategy. You don't have to fight the Methanoids
to win, the best way is to leave them capture your stations.
Once it's done, take a ship, loads 2 tons of fuel, take off (1
ton of fuel leaves) heads to the captured station (when you
arrive, you are out of fuel) board the station, disengage the
M.A.D. And then you own a new station with some drones free!

Nice shot he?

if you need some advices, mail me.

Vince.

Maybe you all should have a look at Reunion!
It has the basics from Deuteros/Millenium2.2 but a lot more for
researching, many systems and quite a lot of alien races (even some
friendly :-) )
But the gfx are better and its a AGA game

Graphics are great in Reunion, but the game itself REALLY sucks. The
computer will NEVER attack anything but your home planet, so the
best strategy is to concentrate a huge fleet in Earth orbit, wait
for the aliens to attack, blow 'em away, and then conquer three or
four of the enemy's planets.
Speaking of the enemy's planets, there are several large alien fleets in
each of their systems, but they NEVER attack you. They don't even
complain when you land your whole fleet on their planet!

Sounds cool but who published it and where do I get it from??
