Hi,
After working hard on Minskies:The Abduction and GunFury, Binary Emotions are looking into producing the sequel to “Speris Legacy”. The design and concept has been complete for quite a while, we are now at a stage where we would like adventure game fanatics to express enhancements they would like to see in the latest episode. Here are examples of what we’ve discussed.

* Twisting plot, with plenty of over dramatisation.
* The choice of strategy & arcade style combat.
* A greater and more flexible array of weapons.
* Possibility of multi player.
* A more simplified text interface, rather than the Monkey Island style selection.
* Multi language select - German, French, Spanish, Italian + more.
* Stronger multi-thread puzzles.
* Meaningful sub games.
* Smaller levels, but with more overall locations to visit.
* Subtler background music.
* AGA & ECS in the same package (auto-enhancing)
* More help and clues available.
* A full character stats system.

We are also looking for talented artists & effects coders interested in contributing their skills to help make
Speris 2 a great follow up on Amiga AGA/ECS & PC. If you are interested then please Email
Ian at : ISJ...@AOL.COM we can then discuss the work further.

Why more simplified? About the best 'Conversations' I've ever
had in a CRPG were those in Star Control II, which I seem to be
going on about rather a lot, but I just got it recently, and it
really is very cool. You could probably play it under IBM
emulation on an 040/060 machine.

Anyway. These were basically the same as Monkey Island speech,
they speak, you choose an option, they reply, you reply, etc,
but with variable numbers of responses, a somewhat heirarchial
structure where you can get into a discussion on a particular
subject, then return to the sort of 'Main menu', and importantly,
differing attitudes and a good variety of possible approaches
open to you, so you could gain an alliance or an enemy depending
on how well you dealt with a particular species. And there was
a great deal of pointless humour, also, which is good.

OTOH, you could just have the good old 'Give the herbs to the
little old woman and trigger a spiel that explains half of
what's going on on this map' approach. Blech. :)

Good.

Now, how about that CyberGFX-support? :-)

Was the original one ever released on the PC? If not, maybe you
should port it first? Just a suggestion - a lot of people would
want to play it first I guess.

It's good to hear that you are supporting the Amiga, although I
cannot promise I will buy this game (didn't like the SL1-demo a
lot, although it was well coded and had beutiful cute graphics!),
I guess there are a lot of people who WILL get it! Good luck!
