Hi people Does anyone remember RailRoad tycoon.
I need help with the game. I can not seem to get more than two
trains running at the same time it keeps coming up with quota exceeded.

I remember being able to run more trains.
Any hints appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm... but of an oldie me, as I still have my A500 with 1 meg, so I don't
know if it is a hardware fault or not :the software runs fine on mine,
although you do get memory problems later on (You start to have stations
disappear because there are too many... and non existant special cargos). I
have never seen the train thing, and I only brought the game new a few months
ago, so I guess I have the same version. Sorry I can't help much!

Hi all.

Does anyone have Hard Nova, a crappy space RPG released in year dot by
Electronic Arts, and more importantly, anyone actually completed it?! I have
had it for years now, and thought I'd better at least try it once... and am
now stuck. Ok, I have got as far as destroying all the alien ships in the
Rouyn system, killed Damien Altron, and collected and translated the alien
transmissions... but the plot just seems to stop there. What am I supposed to
do now...? Anyone who can point me in the direction of help should feel free
to reward themselves richly!

If you fail det security check then you will ONLY be able to play with two
trains :) You know the manual is there for a reason :)

I don't think they deal with this issue specifically, but there are a
couple of reviews of RR on the AGDB, the latest is only a week old and up
to D.J.'s usual high standard.

All the best,

This happens if you don't correctly identify the locomotive after
starting the game. It's the game's copy protection scheme.

There was at least one upgrade within about a month of the initial
release. It fixed a few problems such as the fact that some features
didn't work the way the manual said they were supposed to. I don't know
if the bug you mention was another problem in that fix. I run it here on
my A4000 and OS 3.1 and it's pretty stable.

No such problems here, the only problem is that there is a bug on the "US" map
that crash the game after year '1900' sometime.... But then again I have never
played RRT with less than 3mb ram in my Amiga.... There is a limit on how
many stations and trains you may have in RRT though...

Don't think so... If you have a PC then get RRT2.....

Find somebody with a copy for sale? I'm sure that Microprose doesn't
offer it any more and I don't copy and distribute any of the software
that I own

I don't have a clue as to revision, but I have here:

The Lords of Power (Silent Service II, Red Baron, Railroad Tycoon, and
The Perfect General) by UBISoft.

Well, I don't think there's much harm in sending someone just the
rr executable, unhacked - they still have to have the rest of the files
and the manual to play the game. Angus - I'd be happy to send you my
executable - once I've checked to make sure it's not the same version, of
course. :)

i wouldn´t call that a lot, only a few. i have been there yesterday and downloaded what they have. patches for
red storm rising, civilization, knights of the sky, f-15 2, a new install skript for silent service2... thats all. 2 or 3 demos, and dozens of patches/demos for the pc...

btw, ftp.microprose.com is the address...

Hurm, looks that way..I've got 855.02 here, running very sweetly on my A1200.
Perhaps if you can email a listing of the files in that directory, we can
sort out which files were patched.??

I don't recall that ever happening on any RR Tycoon game that I've
played.

Allright, all this talk about RRT got me back into the Railroad business.
I do now recall, since it has happened in my games just now, that sometimes
when I have large networks of tracks that I'll get the "Impossible Path"
, or some such, error. This will even occur when two cities have a direct
line with no switches between them. I mostly notice this when things get
really large and I try to connect, say, Chicago and Atlanta...
Anybody else have this problem from time to time??

Even better, anybody know who to straighten the game out once it does that?
