Three things :

Some people have mentioned that they go around with a persuadatron and
grab enemy agents. I tend to get shot to pieces when I try this. What
is the deal ? What am I doing wrong ? they don't seem to notice my
persuadetrons.

Some people have mentioned it is too fast on an accelerated aminga. It
is. But Degrader can fix this. Just do a BusyLoop of about 500-250 on
a 25MHZ '030 and it will run like you had a quick A500.

Has anyone else had the pleasure of hijacking a car and mowing down
enemy agents in this game. I find it to be one of the more enjoyable
ways to complete a mission.

cheers,
Matt

You have to persuade lots of pedestrians, or some pedestrians, and some cops to
get enemy agents. Also, The person I use to do this has all level 3
cybernetics (of course) and I usuall wait around corners for them to come
running after me. The second they turn the corner, they're close enough to be
persuaded. Also, you can often just charge them if you're speedy enough and
capture them before they can really do any damage...

The manual states very clearly how to use the Persuadertron. It also has a
chart showing what you need to do to gain experience with the device.

With this added experience, your problem will go away.

If you have a legal copy of of the game (and thus the manual), this
is very easy to figure out. Read exactly how a persuadatron works.
There is a reason why you can't grab enemy agents without some setup.

Since EA went to great lengths to make this game HD installable (at least
game designers like to claim that it takes extra work to support a HD :-)
and with little copy protection (thanks guys! - two of the reasons I bought
the game), I refuse to give more details. The manual is very helpful.

Double points if you get them head-on!

Make sure NONE of your agents have any weapons drawn! The enemy guys
will run up to you start shooting otherwise. You can *still* persuade
them ( provided you have enough persuasion points ), but you have to
take quite a few hits to get close enough!

Just put your guns away and the enemy dudes run up, without drawing
their weapons.

On an A4000/040 use NOCACHE,TIMEWASTE=100-150

You have to persuade a few people and poolice and guards first in order to
build up enough experience (for lack of a better term) to persuade agents.

Personally, I like it fast. Makes the missions go quicker.

I hijacked cars all the time in order to get to my destination faster.

Yeah, after digging into the manual, I kinda feel silly. I guess
you can call me a certified Lazy Person.
(I do love it installed on the HD !)

Well, you have to persuade a bunch of civilians first, THEN you can persuade
a bunch of cops and THEN you can persuade enemy agents. Just wait behind a
corner with the persuadertron on (and with the crowd) and watch how those
silly enemy agents run right into your lap! :) I filled my cryo-chamber in
one(!) mission. The amount of civilians and cops you have to persuade before
you can get the agents seems to vary in different missions. I noticed that
at least in the later missions 2 civilians was enough to get cops and a
handful of cops was enough to start scooping in those agents, although by the
later missions I didn't have any need for the extra agents... :)

BTW, did anyone notice that the range of the p-tron seemed to increase in the
later missions? At the beginning you had to go very close to the "subject", but
later on (depending on my agents abilities? I had complete v3 bodies) the
range was a lot longer allowing me to drive in a car and the people I passed
got converted "on the fly"! Another good way to persuade a lot of people
quickly is to put my agents on "overdrive", activate the p-tron and then just
run around like a headless chicken converting people like heck! :) BTW, keep
the guns hidden when you're persuading, otherwise the civilians run away and
the cops start shooting at you...

Good to know... :) Personally, I played this game through in 4 days on a 486/50,
but it wasn't very difficult / too fast, in fact, in some occasions (ie. a lot
of explosions on the screen) the game slowed down almost to a stand-still.
But then, the PC version runs in 640x480 mode...

However, "the atlantic accelerator" mission, which I left last, was all the
more difficult for that... :)

Oh, I don't know about that. I wonder how that strategy works in the later
missions where the enemy agents are tougher. They tend to shoot your car to
pieces on the spot and it's just TOO bad if your agents happen to be inside...
:) What I ûlike to do is to equip my agents with 4-5 miniguns each, put them
in "overdrive" when the mission starts and then just run around killing
_everything_ that makes the mistake of moving in the vicinity of my men!!!
Ahhh! The pleasures of extreme violence! Also one other VERY cool thing happens
in the later missions when the enemy agents carry time-bombs. If you kill
such an agent, he drops his weaponry including the bomb and if you keep
shooting at the body, the bomb will explode killing any enemies that happen to
be on the spot! Now, THAT's what I call satisfying! :) If you time it right,
you can kill a dozen enemy agents with just a few rounds of minigun-fire (and
a massive explosion :)! It's just too bad that some enemy agents are such
chickens that they self-destruct when they see my armed-to-the-teeth-lean-
mean-fighting-machine-terminator agents... ;)

I only get to play the PC version of Syndicate, but *Shush* ... don't tell
"Customer Service"!

Right .... is this a first?

First of all, get a team of 4, all with V3 _everything_, then select the
mission below California (where you have to ambush the convoy). Guide your
4 agents (with no weapons drawn) into the middle of the roundabout that the
convoy stops at, with them all grouped together.

There are civilians here. *Lots*. ;)

When the 3 cars of the convoy come up to the roundabout, click on the
middle of your 4 agents to seperate them, making sure their control method
is still under "group".

When the 4 agents are a distance appart, quickly press <CONTROL> D to
self-destruct all 4 agents.

*WHAM*! What an explosion .... look at them pedestians _BURN_ !

Now the clever bit : click on the medikit, and all 4 of your men will
instantly be transoported back to full health, meaning they live to fight
another day! This also works great when a suspect is in a building, and you
can't see him. Simply walk one agent in, use Self Destruct, then click on
his medikit, killing everyone inside the building, but allowing your agent
to survive.

*Note* This Self Destruct without dying trick only seems to work on full V3
equiped agents with *full health* at the time of carnage.

Using the above methods, last night I managed to kill 118 civilians, 24
policemen, and 4 guards .... all on one mission :)

Try it, it brings out that nasty streak you thought you had successfully
buried after the "therapy"!

I like persuading the people, and then having them fight for me. When you
persuade a cop, he has a weapon, as do the enemy agents. The civilians will
pick up the weapons from people you've killed.

I've had 50+ people at one time. Most of which had weapons. I had some
firepower then! Not that I already didn't though.

They die too easily though. I'll often lose half if not more in just one
battle with a few enemy agents.

Oh, and them cars are pretty awsome. I've piled TONS of people into them.
Just think how much pollution & traffic them cars could reduce!

I got *170* people in one car, then self_destructed. None of the people
died :(

I then got out of the car, and self-destructed again :)

I especially get a kick out of the clown cars these towns have. My
record is fitting 76 people into a single car (snagged 9 enemy agents that time
out -- whee!). They tend to blow up too easily, though. Later on, when you
need to convince an honest citizen that it's in his best interest to loan you
his car, you need to be careful NOT to do so with a mini-gun. :)

Well try this... self-destruct, use medipack, self-destruct, use medipack,
self-destruct, use medipack, etc...
