It was noted in a prior posts in this newsgroup that Xenomorph seems to
follow a 'game format' made famous by the venerable game 'Dungeon Master'.
This is a game, one of many, that I hope to play and complete some day.
Xenomorph is indeed an interesting 'SF' game take-off of the older game. I
too recommend 'Dungeon Master' to anyone who has not played it. I recall an
'online' version of this game written in Javascript I believe, but I can't
find it now so it may have been removed.

I've run into the aformentioned 'unfriendly spheres' as well...

Nate

So Nate, as you can see I'm a bit jaded with Xenomorph and reading between
the lines, Seppo doesn't exactly seem to be singing its praises. Does it
work for you? What are your impressions?

All the best,
Angus Manwaring. (for e-mail remove ANTISPEM)

I need your memories for the Amiga Games Database: A collection of Amiga

I'm enjoying it a great deal, although I've just started on it. I'm hoping
this weekend to start mapping the place. I've been waiting for a game like
this so I'm pumped! I'm starting to wonder if there's an airlock that leads
outside though. I'd guess that there must be. I'll check this out and post
soon.

I wish I could post to this newsgroup from an internet provider other than
the one I use at home; apparently they have it locked so that such activity
is prevented. Bummer... If I suddenly have to head north, and
unfortunately I think I will within a month, I'll 'disappear' again for 3-5
days but will be back ASAP. I'll shoot Angus an email to let him know my
predicament.

Sorry for being a bit offtopic here, but I usually just browse through the
usenet (amiga) posts frequently and noticed there's quite some activity in the
games section here ;)
I was wondering if you just analyse games every now and then that come to mind
or are you bringing a game to front every now and then to play and analyse
afterwards?

Gerb

Basicly, an Amiga game (or multiple games) is
selected from proposals (anyone can propose a
game). The idea is that people play and analyse
the selected game(s) and post their comments
and questions here in c.s.a.g.

The selected games vary between well known
classics (for example Carrier Command and SWIV)
and less known Amiga games (like Gravity and
Magic Fly). There is a sort of "rediscovery"
theme behind most of the selections - finding
those (sometimes hidden) gems in Amiga
games library.

Feel free to participate :)

Bye,

Seppo

Hi Gerb,

Like Seppo says, somebody comes up with a suggestion for a game or two,
and we generally play through it, commenting on the game, its design, (and
the price of fish) as we go. :)

Cool, I'll be interested to hear how you get on. One of the messages I
found, gives what I think are co-ordinates for a location, so maybe one of
the bits of kit that can be collected is a navigation device. The game
needs one! :)

Okay - yes, my employer has the bad breeding to prevent me visiting
certain sites - and I'm just talking Amiga stuff here.

I was outraged! :)
