I have managed to play the Wolfenstein type game Zero Tolerance which is
available on the SEGA megadrive.
It played reasonably well with smooth (smooth enough) graphics.
There isn't to much in the way of fancy bitmaps or lots of characters,
although the game does include these features. I suppose they had to make
trade offs when you only have 16megabits/2megabytes of ROM for the game. And
when you only have 64 colours to play with.
Sounds are adequate.
You can hook up a second SEGA with a second cartridge and play with a friend.
Personally I thought Wolfenstein was a bit more polished in the graphics and
sound department but some of the animations are certainly very good. e.g. when
you blast someone their blood runs down the walls and stains the floor.
The best part is if they can do that on a 64 colour 12mhz 68000 based system
then they can certainly do better on the A1200.
Lets wait for Breed3D and see what happens.

Walter

The Sega is only 7mhz, and the Sega CD is 12mhz.
Yes, I knew this was going to start. :) And now they get a 15 licence
and everyone rushes out and buys it, right?
I still want to know what sort of license Moonstone would have gained :)

Mm. I have high hopes for that one. As long as it's more Aliens ish
than the Gauntlet style ones. I don't like having aliens as regenerating
stock baddies, they lose all their terror ability.
