Well, there is, actually, uh sort of...seems like the author of R.O.B.B.
and Sim City are the same programmer! I even did a hex dump of Sim City,
and compared it to a friends version of ROBB, and they were markedly
similar. At least the engine for the growth parameters seemed identical.
Look at it this way, you still have the pesky helicopter, and the plane
crashes, and the ships, you just don't have the direct graphic violence
that we all came to expect on the old C=64 game ;^)
Virtually yours,

Not really a games followup, but

Broderbund

Now theres a name thats familiar, I recently saw a product demo of their for
the mac called "living books" its a game/story where the story is told (
with eric schwartz type animations) and then you can click on anything with
educational and humorous results.

Hope they bring this sort of stuff out for the CD32, superbly done just for
the kid in us all.

Well, not that I am aware of. However, there are still quite a few
things you could do about this.

I hear A64 is up to a new registered version that supports GEOS. If it
supports GEOS, I imagine it would support ROBB, because if memory serves, ROBB
had no disk-based copy protection?

Also, there exists a company, more like maybe a group of close
programmer friends, in Finland or someplace in Europe that converts C64
programs all of the time. I FTP'd one last week and it seems to be very
playable. They also are taking votes for future conversions.
While I am not sure that they have converted ROBB or not, it is worth looking
into. Email me for their address.

Obscure net trivia: ROBB is the ancestor of what popular computer game
that recently came out with a new version for the Mac? BTW-speaking of ports,
here is one game I would love to run in Native Amiga mode.
