I am having trouble with my 386SX bridgeboard. I have had it for a few
months (paid full price for it just weeks before they dropped them..),
and so far have had no trouble with it. I have it running a 40 meg
hard drive file, and have a HD floppy drive, all working flawlessly.
Anyways, the other day, I was having a bit of trouble with the board, an
d was playing around with memory configurations, etc.. and I inadvertenly
set the display mode to color 40. Ever since I did that, the bridgeboard
will NOT let me into the setup screen. It'll beep three times, short pause,
beep twice, short pause, beep three times, then just quit functioning until
I click on PC Reset. It will boot from floppy, but not hard drive!!
I have re-installed everything, there is nothing else I can think of doing.
What would probably solve my problem, is if I could find a program, or
to erase the current CMOS settings, or reset them back to factory default.
I tried removing the battery, but it seems to be soldered in there.

Has anyone got any suggestions?????

Thanks in advance,

Boot from floppy then run the BBSetup program on the PC side. I think the
program is in the Janus directory of one of the PC disks. That should
get you into the setup screen so you can change the settings. If that
doesn't work, try changing the Amiga prefs so that PCcolor emulation is
active, then reboot the PC. Or as a third try, as soon as you reset the
PC keep pressing alt-crl-esc until you get into the setup screen.

Two Bridgeboard questions:

1) I have been trying to install an internal modem for my 386 BB, it looks
as though COM1 and COM3 are ok, but COM2 and COM4 are not, but I can't get
the modem to work in any com port. In ports 1 & 3, I get the tell tale
"NO DIALTONE", even when I am sure there is one. If I install it in a DOSbox
the modem works fine.

2) I have just installed Word Perfect and text mode works fine, but the other
two modes, Graphics and Page View seem to require minimum EGA, are there CGA
drivers somewhere or doesn't Word Perfect for DOS support CGA?

Other that Word Perfect seems to run fine, except that it takes up 15 Meg on
the hard drive and in Text mode the button bar looks kind of cheesey! And
I can't seem to get the scroll bars to come up in text mode....
