Hello everybody!
I have been following the posts about Emplant and SCSI, but I haven't
found a straight answer. If I get an Emplant with SCSI will the SCSI
work on my Amiga side? Is it as fast(on the Amiga side) as a 4091 or fastlane
contollor. Finally will it work with the Bernoulli drive on the mac/Amiga side?
Our Sunrise board needs SCSI to access all eight tracks and our IDE
drive only
Provides four :(
Thanks in advance.

The empscsi.device works very well from the Amiga side. There is a known
problem with 4000 bus timing, in essence Jim Drew said he had to slow down the
driver for about a 5% loss of efficiency. It is fast enough for me, but NOT
up to SCSI II standards 8-), it isn't a SCSI II board. I use an NEC multispin
74 on it form the Amiga side and it works flawlessy, BUT I have a 40 meg Conner
HD that has had problems because of the zorru BUS timing. But this should be
fixewd with the new release of empscsi.device.
